Body recovered from St. Paul pond Sunday afternoon

The body of an unidentified male was pulled from a stormwater pond Sunday afternoon, police say.

Officers responded about 12:30 p.m. to a report of a body in the water at Arlington Avenue and Arkwright Street, said Sgt. Mike Ernster, a spokesman for the St. Paul Police Department. There does not appear to be any evidence of foul play, Ernster said.

The Ramsey County medical examiner’s office will identify the body and determine the cause of death.
