One person was killed and seven others were injured in a head-on collision in St. Croix County on Saturday morning.
According to a news release from St. Croix County Sheriff Captain Jeffrey Klatt, the collision occurred in the 3000 block of Wisconsin Highway 64 in Forest Township. The sheriff’s department was notified of the incident at 11:03 a.m.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Six people with injuries were taken to area hospitals by ambulance, and a seventh person was flown by helicopter to Regions Hospital. His or her condition is not known.
The section of Highway 64 between 128th and 310th St. was closed to traffic in both directions after the incident. It reopened just before 3:30 p.m.
