Police arrested two men Sunday on suspicion of fatally shooting a man in Fridley on Saturday night.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday, Fridley police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of Osborne Road and found James Lamont Chapman, 56, dead inside the home, according to Anoka County sheriff’s office commander Paul Sommer.

Authorities say Chapman, of Minneapolis, was visiting the home at the time.

On Sunday, the Anoka County sheriff’s office, Minneapolis police department, and the FBI Fugitive Task Force arrested Bryston Markeis Hill Turnipseed, 35, of Hopkins and Johnny Earl Edwards, 44, of Brooklyn Center in connection with the shooting, according to Sommer.

The men remain in custody and have not yet been charged. The shooting remains under investigation.
