A Hastings man convicted of sex crimes in 2008 faces new child pornography charges.

Paul Lewis Axelson, 30, is charged with three counts of possessing child pornography.
A federal indictment filed Wednesday alleges he had over 150,000 computer files of illegal material, which he received and shared through peer-to-peer software.
Axelson was convicted in 2008 of child pornography possession and third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim between the ages of 13 and 15.
He has been in prison since June 2016 for a probation violation related to those convictions and was expecting to be released on Monday.
