A man trying to cross a Minneapolis street near the University of Minnesota was struck by the side of a semi, knocking him under its trailer Wednesday afternoon. He died early Thursday morning.
The man’s identity has not been released, but relatives told KMSP-TV that he was Charles Coleman, 46, of Brooklyn Center, a cook at the U.
The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. at University Avenue and Huron Boulevard, according to Minneapolis police.
Coleman died early Thursday morning at Hennepin County Medical Center, police said.
The driver of the truck stopped immediately after the accident and was cooperating with police investigators.
