Two months after a 19-year-old from Hugo and his St. Paul girlfriend broke up, he posted a nude picture of her on Snapchat with derogatory comments, according to a criminal complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court.
Now, Dominick Floyd Halverson is being charged with one count of non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images, a felony under the state’s new ‘revenge porn’ law.
On Oct. 2, Halverson posted a nude picture of his ex-girlfriend with the comment “Since the hoe send nudes to broke (expletives) anyway here yall go,” according to the complaint.
He included two other derogatory statements in the post as well, the complaint said.
The victim, who had sent the picture to Halverson while they were dating but had never given him permission to share it, heard about the post from her sister, who follows Halverson on Snapchat and had seen it. Halverson later deleted it, but not before the victim, her sister’s boyfriend and another younger sister had seen it as well, according to the complaint.
In July, Halverson was convicted of terroristic threats for threatening to shoot a gun at a man at whose house the victim stayed in May 2016.
Halverson’s criminal history also includes drug possession and traffic violations. He did not have an attorney listed for the case.
