On Nov. 23, about 50 St. Paul residents plan to mob the St. Paul Police Department — with thankfulness and casseroles.

For the third annual #GraciousMob event, people can “mob” with gratitude police officers working on Thanksgiving Day by bringing them food, said Lindsay Ferris Martin, founder of the event.

Participants can bring a dish to police headquarters at 367 Grove St. from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving. A Facebook page is available for people to RSVP to the event and post what food they will bring, Ferris Martin said.

Around Christmastime, she said, she also holds a #GraciousMob event for the St. Paul Fire Department.

“There’s never a bad time to say thank you,” Ferris Martin said. “They’re working … and keeping us safe so we can enjoy our holidays.”
