Police say an argument preceded a shooting that injured three men and a teen boy shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday in Minneapolis.

Officers responded to 911 callers who reported hearing gunshots in the 3600 block of Emerson Avenue North.

When they arrived, they found a 33-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy in the front yard of a residence, both suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to North Memorial Health Hospital. The man had a non-life threatening wound, police said. But the teen’s injury was significant, according to a news release.

A third victim, a 36-year-old man, was found in an alley near where the other two were injured. He had been shot. He was transported to North Memorial and is in stable condition.

While officers were securing the scene, they were notified that another victim related to the same shooting had been dropped off at Hennepin County Medical Center. He is a 20-year-old man and had a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Officers recovered a handgun at the scene. No arrests were announced as of Saturday afternoon.
