FORT MYERS, Fla. — Officials say a southeastern Minnesota woman suspected of killing her husband at their home and then killing a Florida woman and stealing her identity is heading from Texas to Florida to face prosecution.

Cameron County, Texas, Sheriff Omar Lucio confirmed that 56-year-old Lois Riess was picked up at a Texas jail early Thursday morning. She’s being brought back to Lee County, Fla., to face a second-degree murder charge.
Riess was arrested last week in South Padre Island, Texas. She’s expected to stand trial in Minnesota after the Florida case is done.
Authorities say Riess killed her husband, 54-year-old David Riess, at their Blooming Prairie home in March before heading to Florida and killing 59-year-old Pamela Hutchinson.
Investigators say they believe Riess killed the Bradenton, Fla., woman to assume her identity.
