Three people were injured in two separate shootings in downtown Minneapolis early Saturday morning.
The first occurred just before 2 a.m. near Fifth Street South and Hennepin Avenue South.
A man was shot in the back and a woman in the hip, and neither wound was considered life-threatening. Both were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where the woman underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition.
An off-duty officer witnessed the shooting and arrested the suspect after a brief foot chase. Officers later recovered a gun from the suspect.
The second shooting happened about 2:20 a.m.
Officers from the 1st Precinct were near Fifth Street North and Second Avenue North when they heard multiple gunshots.
When officers arrived, they found a man whose head had been grazed by a bullet. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
No one has been arrested in the second shooting.
